From Principal’s Desk

Assam Rifles Public School (Sports) is inspired by the prayer – “Tamaso Ma Jyotirgamaya” ( “From darkness, lead me to light”).

Assam Rifles Public School is a pioneer in residential schooling in the Northeast, the unexplored wonder land of India. Under the aegis of the celebrated Assam Rifles this singular institution has been fostering creativity, identity and confidence in our students who hail even from the remotest nooks and corners of this ‘unexplored paradise’.

We strive to ensure a secure, congenial and nurturing haven within a magnificently picturesque campus to equip our learners with all the knowledge, skills and values to pursue their aspirations, whether they be academic, uniformed, sporting, musical or spiritual. Our students are instilled with the values of respect, integrity and honesty. Our motivated, creative and caring teachers facilitate authentic, relevant and practical education using contemporary facilities and resources. ARPS inspires the students to grow into confident high-level thinkers and aspiring global citizens.

Our residential program and facilities foster a sense of family, belonging and inclusiveness. ARPS is the second home for our children by choice.

Co-curricular programmes complement academic learning. They offer diversity and choice and that’s why it’s important for parents to look for a school with such programmes for their children. We believe co-curricular activities are paramount to an education in mind, body and spirit, and run along the curriculum as a vital support to it.

ARPS is the alma mater of many accomplished professionals and socially committed men and women. Our alumni institution, the Old Laitkorian Association, collaborates with us to provide our new generation learners with vocational guidance and information about emerging career avenues.

Our affiliation with the CBSE increases our relevance and reach. We collaborate with the NEC to deliver the most authentic learning to the poorest deserving children of the seven sister states. Our association with the SAI under the Khelo India Programme makes us partners in building India into a great sporting nation, a healthy and strong one built on fit and healthy individuals. The NCC contributes in its characteristic way to our efforts to mould secular, disciplined, service-minded, adventure-loving and patriotic youth leaders of character.

If you want your child to receive an outstanding, authentic and holistic education, where he/she will be nurtured to a person, who is clear and passionate about his/her unique talents, then consider ARPS. We look forward to welcoming your family to the ARPS community where your child will have the best opportunity.
