The movie project was started with an objective to showcase the cultural heritage of North-east India and unravel the pages of history of this region of India. It was also initiated with an idea to take the children out of their monotonous schedule that the pandemic has created as this project could blow away the cobwebs by involving them with their respective skills. The project was named as “Northeast: An unexplored paradise”. The project gave opportunities to the children to display their skills in art, script writing, orating, videography, video editing and many more. The first clip of the project was based on the life of one of the chiefs of Khasi people in the early 19th century U Tirot Singh Syiem and how he fought against the British to take over the control of the Khasi Hills.
