Annual Report

  1. The great Hellen Keller had once said, “The best and the most beautiful things on earth cannot be seen or touched. They must be felt with the heart”. Good education and good upbringing are two such things that cannot be seen or touched. They are the basic ingredients of the healthy growth of a child. ARPS, Shillong believes in a culture of distinction in all aspects of life and treads every step forward to inculcate good education and good upbringing amongst the Laitkorians.
  2. In the last Class X Board examination total 35 students appeared out of which 20 students passed in 1st Division (in which 03 student secured 90% and above) & 13 student in 2nd
  3. 100 students appeared in the class XII Science, Commerce and ARTS. 77 students passed in 1st Division & 18 students 2nd

 Co-curricular

  1. On 07th Sep 2019 five students of our school participated in the Inter schools and Colleges Essay writing competition organized by Sri Narayan Guru Cultural Organization, Shillong, on the topic ‘Oneness’. Master Debayan Sen of class XII SC got 1st prize with cash award of Rs.5000/-
  2. In the Inter ARPS Badminton Championship held at IGAR (East) Agartala from 21st to 25th 2019. Our school emerged Champion
  3. Three Students of our school participated in the inter schools and colleges ‘Model United Nation Conference 2019’, Organized by St. Anthony’s College. Master Joseph, Class XII (Sc), and Miss Velika of Class XI (Arts) were awarded best journalist and High Commendation Journalist along with Gold medal and Silver Medal respectively.
  4. On the 73rd Independence Day Celebration 2019 the ARPS Girls Horse Riding Contingent was awarded “Special Prize” for excellent March Pass by the Dy. Commissioner (East Khasi Hills) at Polo ground Shillong.
  5. In May 2019 40 JR. and SR. Divs NCC Cadets attended Annual Training Camp at 119 TA, Bishnupur, Shillong, where Senior Under Officer Fester Akham of class XII Science was adjudged the “Best Cadet” and was awarded Medal by the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Meghalaya.
  6. 32 Jr. Div Cadets and 17 Sr. Div Cadets appeared the ‘A’ and ‘B’ Certificate Exams respectively. All the Cadets Passed the above Examination.
  7. A rally was organized in the Umiew village on 31st May 2019 to observe ‘WORLD NO TABACCO DAY’ in which 120 Assam Rifles Public School NCC cadets of both Junior and Senior Divisions participated. The cadets talked to the villagers and tried to create awareness about the ill-effects of Tobacco.
  8. Rajesh Ch Roy, CTO Jr. Div is presently attending the Pre- Commission Training at Kamptee, Nagpur.
  9. Many teachers attended various Workshop Organised by CBSE and others on the theme like, “Paradigm shift in the Teaching Learning process”, “Ethics and Integrity in the school”, “Class Room Management,” “Gender Equality” etc.
  10. The School was selected to conduct the NEET (UG) 2019 on 5th May 2019 and was highly praised by the NTA for flawless and successful conduct of this prestigious examination. 576 candidates took the examination.
  11. Honest efforts are being given to further elevate the academic standard of the School. Motivational lectures are being conducted by OLA Officers and Others. Under the directions of our Chairman Sir, regular extra classes are being conducted especially for the weak students so as to ensure that they progress in their studies.
  12.  Our vision, “FLY WITH FREEDOM AND ÉLAN”.’ is the beacon of guiding light that is always steering the young minds not only to become successful human beings, but to become humans of true value. We are extremely fortunate to be richly guided by our President sir and wish to thank him and thank all distinguished Officers of the HQ DGAR for constantly providing us with infrastructural assistance besides guiding us in the best possible ways to come up to the National level.
