The School has an authorized NCC Troop under the 2nd Battalion NCC, Meghalaya. The
students of Classes VIII to XII are selected to join the NCC. The younger students are enrolled in Scouting on a voluntary basis. Every year, selected students are sent to undergo NCC / Scouting Camps. They compete for the various Certificates which withstand them in good stead for selection in the Armed Forces. Selected cadets are also sent for Youth Exchange Programmes (YEP) conducted by NCC. It also helps in college admissions.
The School also has its own Scouts and Guide’s Unit. The ARPS Scouts take part in Camps and Jamborees around the year both at National and International levels. They have brought several laurels to the School including several Governors’ Scouts Awards as well as the coveted Rashtrapati Award.
